When I was is first grade I was assigned to fill in a color wheel. I remember the excitement I felt first learning that colors could blend and change. I couldn’t imagine my life being stripped of its vibrancy and energy. A trait of the world and a voice for nature, color to me was evidence that the world had a soul.
So I filled out the wheel, and received an “F” on the assignment.
It was then that I first learned I was colorblind. Also I learned that my art teacher was overly critical of the talent of first graders.
For all the read this I hope that the world is filled with beautiful color today. And if the sky may appear as a different shade of blue then rejoice in seeing a world made for your eyes only.
